DAVID LLOYD
After receiving a first class degree in painting, David completed his
post-grad studies at the Royal Academy Schools.
Since then he has exhibited regularly in a variety of venues including
the Centro Modigliani in Florence and the New Burlington Gallery in
London.
David’s paintings involve allegorical figures making reference
to classical myths.
The characters are not accurate illustrations and often become confused
and cross pollinate.
David will often start the painting with no formulated thought or meaning
and once the characters are in place he becomes driven by their needs
and desires.
David Lloyd sees his paintings as a record of the connections made between
himself as an artist and this inner voice or soul
