DAVID BROOKE
David Brooke was trained at Yeovil School of Art and Hull College of
Art.
He works in acrylic paint, oil pastel and pen and ink in a precise and
strongly designed style. His themes originate in mythology, although
interpreted and embellished by his imagination, and are often humorous
or quirky. His pictures frequently imply a folk tale or myth, and sometimes
there is a suggestion of an icon or archetype.
David Brooke is President of the Society of Graphic Fine Art. He is
also a member of, and regularly exhibits with, the National Acrylic
Painter’s, the Society for Art of the Imagination and Bath Society
of Artists. His work has been exhibited in London, New York and Miami,
besides in many prestigious galleries around Britain.
